All felines need a wellness examination. Cats with behavioural and medical problems, geriatrics, and older cats require more than an annual visit to the vet.

Cats that live indoors are healthier overall and a common mistake is that they won’t get sick. A cat is another species that hide illness well, potential problems like pain in the lower back, stomach abnormalities or irregular heartbeat are hidden from loving owners.

Our cat wellness program includes:

  • Weight management

  • Nutritional needs addressed

  • Vaccinations

  • Feline leukemia testing

Kitten care

We recommend an F3 vaccination from 6-8 weeks of age.  F3 Vaccine – Feline 3 (F3) covers 3 major diseases:

  • Feline herpes virus, commonly known as cat flu. This is often found in unvaccinated cats and can cause long-term problems like chronic sneezing. Typical symptoms are nasal discharge, red eyes, and gum infections.

  • Feline calicivirus, which can be another cause of the disease commonly known as cat flu.

  • Feline panleukopaenia, also known as cat parvovirus, which can cause severe and often fatal gastroenteritis.

In addition, it will be treated for common intestinal worms.  Furthermore, we could help you make the right choice regarding nutrition, spaying/neutering, tick, and flea control and answer your questions.

Adult and senior feline care

Even when your cat does not show signs of diseases or illness, an annual examination will help detect potential issues and treatment early on. Depending on the vaccine schedule already received, it could get additional vaccines. Older cats often require a lab and blood testing aside from standard vaccinations and examinations.
